The Tropical River Adventure
Join George Lindemann & Friends on Costa Rica's Sarapiqui River.
George Lindemann is returning to Costa Rica for a Whitewater Paddling Adventure on the Sarapiqui River. He has organized Eli "the Canoe Guru" Helbert and National Geographic acclaimed Esprit Whitewater to provide a unique, deluxe customized adventure in the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica.

Day 1: Arrive Costa Rica. Helicopter Transfer and Paddle the Lower Sarapiqui.
Arrive via private jet to San Jose's Tobias Bolano International Airport. Your flight will be met by an Esprit Staff and the group will be transferred via private helicopter to the banks of the Sarapiqui River. After a riverside lunch we will paddle the "Venados Section" (canoe, kayak, inflatable kayak or raft) to our riverside jungle lodge.
Note: Please pack a small bag with your "river wear" to go with you in the helicopter (as space and weight is limited). Our driver will meet your flight and transfer additional bags with "the rest of your belongings" (see packing list) to our overnight accommodations. Your bags will be waiting for you upon arrival.
(Dinner is A La Carte and not included in the program costs)

Day 2. Paddle The "La Virgin" Section of the Sarapiqui River.
After breakfast at our lodge we will transfer upstream (15 mins) to the "La Virgin" section of the Sarapiqui. We will take our time exploring the river, switching in and out of different rivercraft, and taking in the beautiful jungle scenery. There are great opportunities for teaching and paracticing paddling skills en route.
For those that wish, we have an optional "Lower Sarapiqui" river
motor boat "Wildlife Safari". Enjoy a relaxing float downstream in a coverd "Motor Lancha". We often see Toucan, Howler Monkey, Sloth, Bats, !guana and a variety of birdlife.
(Dinner is A La Carte and not included in the program costs)

Day 3 Paddle the "San Miguel Section of the Sarapiqui River
After breakfast at our lodge we will transfer upstream (30 mins) to the "San Miguel" section of the Sarapiqui. Here the rapids are somewhat faster, more exciting and challenging. The San Miguel finishes at Hacienda Pozo Azul where we will have lunch overlooking the river and depart by helicopter back to San Jose. From San Jose we will return in private jet to the USA.
Day 2 and Day 3 may be substituted based on waterlevels and the groups wishes. It is recommended to transfer back to San Jose before 1 pm as late afternoon weather can cause flight cancellations.
Extra equipment will be transfered by ground early in the day and will waiting at the airport for your departure.
